Class Descriptions

Namaslay® Chill: A relaxing class that’s perfect for working on mobility and flexibility, this class will incorporate props as well as active and passive stretching to help calm the mind, and open the body. Particularly great for athletes, and people who are feeling stiff. You can expect to leave feeling relaxed, calm, and open.

Namaslay® Strength: Are you dealing with minor tweaks? Does chaturanga hurt your wrists or make your shoulders scream? Often times, minor injuries in yoga (and life!) occur due to a lack of stabilization, strength and support around the joints and within the body. This class is about strategically building a strong, stable foundation which will complement your yoga practice and your life off the yoga mat, as well. Each class will start with a dynamic yoga warm up, followed by a mini core circuit and then a series of strength-building exercises using our own bodyweight and equipment like resistance bands, sliders, light weights and more. Appropriate for levels 1/2/3, and particularly helpful for those who are hyper-mobile, those dealing with minor back or shoulder pain, and those who feel they’ve plateaued with their yoga practice.

Namaslay® Sweaty Slow Flow: Slower can be super challenging! In this class you’ll be invited to move slower than you want to go with careful attention to alignment and breath as you tone muscles in this slow-paced, sweat-inducing vinyasa class. Appropriate for levels 1/2/3.

Namaslay® Groove - Hip-Hop Yoga: Using the best hip-hop tunes as the soundtrack, this is a powerful and delightfully challenging flow class appropriate for levels 2/3. Modifications will be offered as needed. Expect to leave feeling rejuvenated and centered. Please note that due to the nature of the hip hop tunes, you may hear explicit lyrics.

Namaslay® Flow and Go: For people with tight schedules, this 45 minute athletic vinyasa class will link breath with creative sequencing for an energizing, strength-building yoga experience that’ll leave you wanting more. Appropriate for levels 1/2/3.

Namaslay® Sunday’s Donation Based Class: Every Sunday, we’ll hold a donation based class. This summer, you’ll have the option to make a cash donation to the Namaslay® Scholarship fund which will help others in the community attend yoga workshops at the studio. Alternatively, we will be collecting donations (see the list below) for the Daily Bread Food Pantry in Danbury, CT. They are most in need of the following:

Non-perishable items:

Canned tuna, salmon or chicken


Rice (1 or 2 pound bags)

Soup (especially Chicken Noodle!)

Macaroni and cheese

Canned vegetables

Canned fruit

Beans (canned or dry)

Breakfast cereal (hot or cold)

Marinara sauce and canned tomato products

Meal-in-a-can (beef stew, spaghetti & meatballs, etc)
