June 22 & 23 2019 - Namaslay® Business and Marketing Intensive for Yoga Teachers. Join Candace for a two day intensive weekend of Namaslay® Business and Marketing lessons. Designed for yoga teachers who are looking to amp up their business savvy, this weekend tackles a number of workshops to help them on their way. Through study and integration of the Yamas and the Niyamas, we’ll be mindfully guided through all the workshops with yoga ethics as top priority. This event takes place on June 29, 2019 from 7am - 7pm and June 30, 2019 from 7am - 12 noon. See the full schedule.
Note: Completion of this course grants registered yoga teachers 15 hours of Continuing Education Contact Hours.
July 20, 2019 - Adaptive Yoga: Yoga for Amputees - Join Namaslay® YTT graduate Ashley Spradlin, who will share her extensive knowledge and wisdom in this introduction to adaptive Yoga for Amputees, you'll learn about. Suitable for yoga students and teachers alike.
July 20, 2019 - Business of Yoga, Grant Writing: How to Find Support for Your Yoga Programs - Join Namaslay® YTT Graduate Ashley Spradlin, who will share an introduction to the aspects of the grant writing process and the components of a successful request for funding, including:
- How to identify funding sources
- How to dissect a Request for Proposal (RFP)
- How to compile a successful needs assessment, complete with compelling narratives and research driven data
- Program implementation, budgeting and contract management
- Program evaluation, community support
July 21, 2019 - Chakras and Anatomy - Join Namaslay® YTT graduate Ashley Spradlin, who will host an informative session on chakras and anatomy. The chakras are mystifying for many new yogis and teachers. For some, the language can be confusing, and typical yoga practices don't include an explanation of their origins or applications. This workshop will provide insight to the anatomy related to the chakras, how to focus on their development and integrate them in a yoga practice.
July 27-28 2019 - Meditation: A Modern Approach to an Ancient Practice. This in-depth course on meditation will explore the benefits of meditation, take a look at its origins, a variety of meditation practices, mudras to complement the meditation practices, and how to teach a variety of meditation in a way that makes it applicable to modern day. We'll cover common meditation struggles and how to overcome them, the various stages of meditation, and techniques geared towards yoga teachers and yoga students alike. Please bring: a yoga mat, a yoga blanket, and two thick towels.
Course Prerequisites - read Buddha's Brain: The Practical Neuroscience of Happiness, Love and Wisdom by Rick Hansen, and Namaslay by Candace Moore.
Note: Completion of this course gives you 15 Continuing Education Hours with the Yoga Alliance.
August 3, 2019 - Back Care Yoga Workshop - Are you struggling with low back pain? Often times, our low back pain stems from poor behavior habits - standing a certain way, flaring through the ribs, sitting poorly, etc. This low back care workshop will address the following to help correct poor biomechanics so that we can live a pain-free life.
August 25, 2019 - Modifications for Pregnancy Yoga Workshop -
Join Jennifer Mehall, our Namaslay® YTT Specials instructor to learn how to instruct or practice yoga for pregnancy. We will address appropriate postures by trimester, modifications for pregnancy, and use of props. This workshop is designed for both yoga teachers who are looking to make their classes more accessible for all, and is also appropriate for pregnant students.
August 24, 2019 - Gentle Yoga Workshop: Addressing Injuries and Senior Yogis - Join Jennifer Mehall, our Namaslay® YTT Specials instructor to learn how to instruct or practice gentle yoga, appropriate for those who want to slow down, be a bit more mindful, and for those who are injured. This workshop incorporates instructional chair yoga, gentle yoga and modifications for injury. We will address the use of props and modifications in postures. This workshop is designed for both yoga teachers who are looking to make their classes more accessible for all students, and is also appropriate for practicing yoga students who are interested in slowing their practice and/or addressing injuries.
August 24, 2019 -Yoga Workshop for Bigger Bodies - Join Jennifer Mehall, our Namaslay® YTT Specials instructor to learn how to instruct or practice yoga for bigger bodies. The term “bigger bodies” includes athletes, taller individuals, and those who are carrying extra weight. We will address the use of props and modifications in postures. This workshop is designed for both yoga teachers who are looking to make their classes more accessible for all body types, and is also appropriate for practicing yoga students who fall into the bigger body category. August 24, 2019 - Yoga Workshop for Athletes - Join Jennifer Mehall, our Namaslay® YTT Specials instructor to learn how to instruct or practice yoga for athletes. The term “athletes” refers to individuals who work out, run, play sports, or are interested in learning how to incorporate a yoga practice that will complement any form of physical activity. We will address body imbalances, types of injuries, the use of props and modifications in postures, as well as tips for yoga teachers who are instructing individuals in an athletic training cycle. This workshop is designed for both yoga teachers who are looking to make their classes more accessible for all, and is also appropriate for students wanting to learn how to use yoga to complement their physical activity. If you are interested in this workshop, you may also find Gentle Yoga: Addressing Injuries and Seniors helpful as well, as it goes into depth regarding modifications for injuries.
August 25, 2019 - Yoga Workshop for PTSD and Trauma - Join Jennifer Mehall, our Namaslay® YTT Specials instructor to learn how to instruct or practice yoga for those with PTSD or past trauma. We will address how to create safe and inclusive safe for those with PTSD or have experienced past trauma. This workshop is designed for both yoga teachers who are looking to make their classes more accessible for all, and is also appropriate for students wanting to learn how to use yoga to manage PTSD, stress and past trauma.

September 21, 2019 - Self-Care Workshop - Yoga Nidra Exploration and Sound Bath Experience - Feeling stressed? Overwhelmed? Dealing with mild pain or anxiety? Haven’t been making enough time for yourself? Come unwind at a unique and transformational self-care workshop. Candace will start the day off with a gentle yoga class with aromatherapy to reconnect with ourselves and unwind. Then, we will move into yoga nidra - a deep, guided meditation experience. From there, Namaslay® YTT Graduate Jenelle Bleiler, MT-BC, RYT, will take over as our sound healer. Sound has been utilized in various cultures for thousands of years as a tool for healing. Learn about and experience sound healing and vibrational techniques.
