Candace is first and foremost a dog lover. In fact, you may see her 10 year old Siberian Husky from time to time at the studio. She is secondly the founder of YogaByCandace®, the best-selling author of Namaslay®, and the founder of Mantra Box®. An ERYT-500hr teachers, she leads yoga workshops, retreats and teacher trainings worldwide, and never met a challenge she didn’t love. She hosts a weekly podcast, and launched an app and a YouTube channel with hundreds of free yoga videos. She is passionate about living your best life, considers herself a lifelong student of yoga and life, and is always on the path to be her most vibrant self. She loves singing in the car, practicing accents, and lifting weights. You can find her on Instagram.
Note: Candace is a trauma-informed yoga instructor with a background in Ashtanga, Vinyasa and has extensive Anatomy and Meditation training.
Kait believes yoga helps us to find a bit of magic in everything and that connecting to the body and breath in some way can make every day better. Her yoga journey began in NYC after graduating from college. The yoga studio served as a place of solace, a way back to herself, during a time when everything was unfamiliar and chaotic – the city, her career, early 20s. A year later, she moved to Italy and while her surroundings – the language, culture, food, people – changed, her yoga practice remained a constant. Three years later, she moved back to the US and once again found yoga to be her North Star, guiding her back to herself. She became a RYT-200 in hopes of helping others the way yoga has always helped her. Kait is a yoga teacher by nights and weekends, a student always, and a content creator for Burt’s Bees Baby by day. Her classes are powerful and fun, with a focus on building strength while finding space in the body and heart through movement and breathwork. She is fluent in Italian and sarcasm, a fitness enthusiast, and lover of learning, reading, traveling, and food (obviously).
Jackie began consistently practicing yoga in college when she discovered for herself the benefits of the practice. She walked into her first yoga class with zero expectations and came out inspired. During that time yoga not only became an effective way to reduce stress and anxiety, but a way to bring joy into her life. Yoga offers people the time and space to quiet the mind and by doing so helps them to find light in their lives.
Jackie’s passion and gratitude for her practice inspired her to want to help others. She completed her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training through Namaslay® Yoga Teacher Training. Her classes are a balance of gentleness and strength. She believes in challenging yourself while honoring where you are at in your journey. Jackie’s warm and welcoming approach invites students to discover how to move in a way that best serves them. She hopes that the lessons learned on the mat can be used to help her students deal with life off the mat.
Strength & Resistance Training
With a background in sports and lifting, Dan has a passion for applying his experience to helping you develop lean muscle and stable, healthy joints. He is an excellent fitness coach and heads our one to one personal training program as well as the Namaslay® Strength classes, which are specifically designed for yogis. With multiple anatomy certs, a CrossFit L-1 certification, a personal training background, and multiple yoga trainings under his belt, Dan has designed and led the strength curriculum at our yoga teacher training program with YogaByCandace LLC. He is passionate about baseball (Go Mets!), and reading (anything!). You can find him on Instagram.
Nicole has worked in corporate accounting for 9 plus years and found
yoga to be the strongest tool to manage stress, anxiety, and life's
crazy schedule. When Nicole started her consistent personal yoga
practice she immediately realized that yoga is a powerful healing tool
that creates self-awareness and connects the mind and body. She finds
yoga to be one of the single most effective ways to positively
transform and improve ourselves. As Nicole became increasingly more
passionate about yoga she wanted to share the far-reaching benefits
with others. She completed her 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher
Nicole's approach to teaching is to provide the healing techniques of
breath, meditation, movement, and the philosophy of yoga to students
with hopes that they will take their practice off of the mat and apply
it to their daily habits. She believes we can all benefit from
practicing various styles of yoga and she enjoys teaching all of them.
Her goal is that students will leave class feeling powerful and that
they have everything they need within them, that they can become their
best self and that they are capable of accomplishing so much.
Nicole really enjoys all activities that cause her to move. She has
two lovely dogs, an amazing husband, and a very large family. She
loves hiking with her dogs, is encouraged by her triathlete husband to
compete in races and loves training to become healthier overall.
